I play games sometimes but I don't play first-person ones. That means when you stray away from it, what you see on the curved display is in effect distorted.ĭoes it mean that I should get a flat 34" UW monitor, and a curved display will be a no go for me?įor your information, I'm mainly doing office work/web browsing/some programming on my PC. Sitting off-center can make things look distorted.Īlso, when it comes to viewing angles, curved displays only have one sweet spot: the center of the monitor. ![]() So I tried googling "curved ultrawide off center" and these are some results that I found (links not posted as it might be treated as "referrals")Īdditionally, curved monitors work best when you sit directly in the center of the screen. I think my vision would be at around 1/3 width from the left of the screen should I got a UW. However, there is a wall on the left of the desk, so I wouldn't be able to position the UW at the center. I just figured that my desk will just fit a 34" 21:9 and thinking of ascending. ![]() My eyes currently are looking right at the center of the screen in this configuration. My desk comes with a keyboard tray on the left so I put the monitor on the left side of the desk.
